Yolanda E. Montalvo

GRAFTON – Yolanda E. (Sims) Montalvo, 53, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, March 29, 2026. Born in Boston and raised in both Worcester and Puerto Rico, she was the daughter of the late Rosalie Quintana and Fermin Harold Sanabria.

As the matriarch of her family, Yolanda was known for her boundless selflessness. She never hesitated to open her doors to anyone in need, offering a hot meal or a place to stay. To Yolanda, "home" was a sanctuary for everyone—a sentiment that extended to her beloved three dogs and four cats.

Family was the center of Yolanda’s world. Nothing brought her more joy than dedicating her time and heart to her children and grandchildren.

She will be lovingly missed and remembered by her husband, Edwin Montalvo Sr.; her children, Sonia Gonzalez and her husband Miguel, Rosalie Montalvo, Edwin Montalvo Jr., Ricardo Sims Pizarro, and Marcos Montalvo, all of Worcester; and her siblings, Harold Sanabria of Springfield, Lucy Sanabria of Florida, Latanya Sims of Florida, Sharon Sanabria of Puerto Rico, Jason Sims of Worcester, and Robert Quintana of Florida.

Yolanda was the adored grandmother of Skylie and Amiyah Robinson, Gianna Gonzalez, Kaidyns Montalvo Powell, Leah Montalvo, Edwin Montalvo III, Marcos MontalvoJr., and Anairalys Montalvo She also leaves behind many cherished nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Yolanda is now reunited with her late daughter, Annalicia Montalvo, who passed away on February 9, 2026.
