Thongmy P. Sinbandhit, a devoted wife, loving mother, proud grandmother, and cherished great-grandmother, passed away peacefully at home on January 13, 2026, surrounded by her family.

Born in Champassak, Laos, Thongmy was one of six children and was known for her love of talking and storytelling. Her voice—often heard a mile away—brought laughter, warmth, and life to every gathering. She shared memories, wisdom, and humor freely, always making those around her feel welcomed and loved.

Thongmy was married for forty-eight years to her beloved husband, Sindavong Sinbandhit. She is survived by her husband; her daughter and son-in-law, Alouneny and Doan Le of Leicester, MA; her son and daughter-in-law, Thatsany and Mali Phoummalayvane of Southbridge, MA; her grandchildren, Leo Le and his wife Tinia ;Austin Le and his fiancee Karen Saynes ;Alyssah Gentry and her husband TJ ;Alex Phoummalayvane and his wife Mindy and her great-grandchildren, Zeeko Le, Miley Phoummalayvane, and Ava Gentry. She is also survived by her brothers, Vilath and Bounlieme Liemthong. Three siblings predeceased her.

Thongmy’s stories, laughter, and unmistakable voice will live on in the hearts of all who loved her.
