Thomas F. Powers, Jr.

Shrewsbury - Thomas F. Powers, Jr. passed away peacefully on March 6th 2025 at the Rose Monahan Hospice Home at the age of 87.

Tom was a civil engineer who served the Commonwealth of Massachusetts for more than 50 years.  He was an erudite reader who loved history, politics and poetry. He was a music lover with a passion for Opera, chamber & choral music. He & his wife took great joy in singing with the Worcester Chorus for many years & Tanglewood Chorus for a couple of summers. He was a lifelong Red Sox fan, and loved to talk sports with family and friends.

He leaves behind his wife of 63 years Elena Powers, his two children, Siobhan Powers and Brendan Powers, and two grandchildren Ryan Streams and Evan Streams as well as two great grandchildren Maxwell and Wyatt Streams.
