RUTLAND - Thomas Michael Gould passed away October 19, 2026, at the age of 66. Born in Concord, Massachusetts on October 18, 1960, Tom grew up in Yarmouth, Maine and carried the memories he made there throughout his life. He was a veteran of the Air Force and also worked many years in the tech field.

Over the years he built a life centered around family, friends, strong values, hard work and community. Those who knew him would describe him as loving, funny, kind and willing to give you the shirt off his back. That probably has actually happened.

His outlook on life was always positive and uplifting. Even when the hardest possible thing did happen, he remained a pillar of strength while helping others through their own grief. He loved spending time with his family.

He was a faithful Grateful Dead fan, a true Deadhead right to the end. He often reminisced of his time spent growing up in Maine, his childhood friends, and playing sports through high school and beyond. It has been said that if you missed out on growing up with Tom in the 70’s in Yarmouth you missed out on something special. There was always a story to hear. One of his greatest loves was golf. If it was a sunny day and there was no snow on the ground you could count on him playing a course somewhere just “enjoying the moment.”

He leaves behind his wife, Kristin Gould; his stepson, Tyler Grant, and daughter-in-law, Sara; his stepdaughter, Alyssa Morelli, and son-in-law, Dave; and his beloved grandson, Asher. He is also survived by his four brothers and their wives: Jim and Kristen Gould, Peter and Leanne Gould, Steven and Jan Gould, and Mark and Meg Gould; as well as many nieces and nephews, whom he so enjoyed watching grow, venture into the world, find love, and have children of their own.

Tom was preceded in death by his son, Brett Gould; his granddaughter, Lydia Grant; his mother, Claire Gould; and his father, Vic Gould.

Tom’s legacy will continue in the lives of all who loved him. May he forever rest in peace.
