Thomas A. Anderson

GARDNER – Thomas A. Anderson Sr. died peacefully on Tuesday, July 7, 2026, at home. Born July 28, 1962, in Ayer, Massachusetts, he was the son of the late Raymond and Barbara (Dowd) Anderson. Thomas grew up in Harvard and graduated from Bromfield Highschool.

After his education, Thomas worked in sales for many years. He worked for Lorillard and Swisher Tobacco companies. Later in life Thomas could be found behind the microphone, podcasting about the political climate.

Thomas was a man of many interests, but his true pride and joy came when his son Thomas A. Anderson Jr. was born. He was known to speak highly of his son on any occasion he could. Family was always important to Thomas and was his priority. Additionally, Thomas loved a good game of golf, darts, singing Elvis’s songs on karaoke nights, and of course a few scratch tickets.

Thomas retired and spent the last years of his life in Gardner.

Thomas was predeceased by both his parents, in addition to his brother Raymond Anderson of Ayer. Thomas is survived by his other siblings; Diane Parks of Groton, Valerie Devine of Florida, Barbara Stigliani of Athol, Mary Ann Proulx and her husband, Timothy, of Swansea NH, Donald Anderson of Ayer, and Wendy Morrison of Gardner. He also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews.

An hour visitation will be held Tuesday, July 28, 2026, beginning at 11:00 AM, at Kelly Cremation and Funeral Care, 154 Lincoln St. Worcester, MA 01605. A memorial service will follow immediately after.
