Susan LeCuyer

July 13, 1962 — May 8, 2026

Lancaster

LANCASTER - Susan (Alsdorf) LeCuyer went home to be with her Lord on Friday, May 8, 2026.

Susan was born in Kingston, New York on July 13, 1962, daughter of Sonja and Clifford Alsdorf. She was sister to Judy and her brother Chris. Sue moved to Massachusetts as a child and raised her own 2 daughters, Laura and Amy, in Lancaster, MA.

Sue graduated from Montachusett Regional Vocational Technical School with the class of 1980 where she studied Graphic Design.

Sue’s occupations included executive secretary and office management positions at Raytheon, Becket Family Services, Red Apple Farm, and Walnut Hill Carpentry. She, also, served at Apple Hill Farm & Country Club and on the banquet team at the International Golf Club. She was a diligent worker and had a knack for turning co-workers and acquaintances into close friends and “family”.

Sue loved people and her beauty radiated through her perpetual smile!

After many years Sue reconnected with high school friend Randy LeCuyer who soon became the love of her life! They married on December 6, 2019.

Sue turned ordinary moments into celebrations of life and friendship. She celebrated the little things. Her impromptu fireside get-togethers brought much joy. She was gifted in making a house a home, not only in warm décor, but in welcoming friends and making them feel like family. Sue had a sweet tooth and decorated her dining room with a wide variety of candies and chocolates to share with guests. She enjoyed baking, continuing the tradition of passing down generational recipes, like her delicious pecan rolls. She made each occasion festive, from birthdays to Cinco de Mayo parties to decorating for the holidays. Easter was her favorite, the celebration of new life! Sue enjoyed crafting and jewelry-making, selling her earrings locally. She loved thrifting and finding treasures at yard sales. She could ferret out hidden top name brand gems. Sue was a fierce competitor in games and loved to play darts.

Sue loved dogs, especially her Rottweilers, 2 of which she rescued over the years.

She loved feeding the birds all winter and would wait with anticipation for the hummingbirds to arrive in spring.

Sue loved the Lord Jesus Christ and shared His love with all, whether personally or by supporting global missions. Her life exemplified the saying “Every heart with Christ is a missionary & Every heart without Christ is a mission field.” During her 4-year battle with cancer, and the numerous medical appointments that entailed, Sue would often be heard asking the medical staff attending her, “Is there anything I can pray about for you?” She would bless individuals along the way with packets she carried containing a carved olivewood cross, a bookmark with The Lord’s Prayer, and My Little Bible. To the end Sue genuinely radiated the love of the Lord wherever she went. She could say, with the apostle Paul in 2 Timothy 4:7, “I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith” as she sprinted across the finish line to glory! She will be greatly missed by her close circle of Christian “sisters” who continually shared daily calls or morning texts with encouraging Bible verses, and visits.

Sue loved being Randy’s wife, Mom to her daughters and “bonus children” as she called them, and grandmother, or “Papa’s Sue”, to her grandchildren.

Sue was predeceased by her mother Sonja Alsdorf, father Clifford Alsdorf, and sister Judy Petkewich. She is survived by her husband Randy LeCuyer, daughter Laura Blessington, daughter Amy Potts and husband Nick with grandson Kamden Morris, her 3 “bonus children” Marie Bacchus and husband Kyle with daughter Daisy, Aaron LeCuyer and wife Renae, Justin LeCuyer and wife Kim with their 4 children Ayla, Rosie, Blake, and Jesse, her brother Chris Alsdorf and wife Joyce with their 2 children Courtney and Nathan, and brother-in-law Bob Petkewich with his 2 children Nick and Katie.

A Celebration of Life will be held Thursday, June 11, 2026 at 10am at Heritage Bible Chapel, 182 Brooks Station Rd, Princeton, MA 01541 In lieu of flowers, donations in Sue’s honor can be made to Missions at Heritage Bible Chapel.
