In Loving Memory of Shanthi Ravichandran

June 5, 1961 – August 28, 2026

Shanthi Ravichandran, beloved wife, mother, sister, friend, and cherished member of her community, passed away surrounded by those who loved her on August 28, 2026. She was born on June 5, 1961, in Chennai, India, and devoted her life to her family, her career, and the many people whose lives she touched with her warmth, kindness, and generosity.

Shanthi attended college in Chennai, India, before earning her Master’s degree from Boston University. She went on to build a successful career as a Software Quality Engineer, where she was known for her intelligence, dedication, and thoughtful approach to all that she did. Yet, beyond her professional accomplishments, Shanthi’s greatest source of pride and joy was always her family.

She had a warm smile, a generous spirit, and a thoughtful heart. Her values were reflected in the way she lived each day. She was always willing to help others, especially those who were less fortunate, and she gave freely of her time and energy.

Shanthi firmly believed that “Food is Love.” For nearly 40 years, she expressed her love by cooking and sharing home-cooked meals with her family and friends. Her kitchen was a place where people gathered, stories were shared, and laughter filled the room. No one ever left her home without being well fed and, more importantly, well loved.

Shanthi is survived by her beloved husband, S. Ravichandran; her daughter, Preethi Ravichandran Kumar; and her son, Vijay Ravichandran. She was also a proud grandmother to three grandchildren, whom she loved dearly. Her family was the center of her world, and the love she gave them will continue to live on through generations.

Shanthi leaves behind a lifetime of love, countless cherished memories, and a family and community who will carry her spirit forward.

Shanthi will be deeply missed, forever remembered, and always loved.
