Sandra Marion McCormick

Sandra Marion McCormick (née Woelz), of Shrewsbury, Massachusetts—beloved wife, sister, aunt, and friend—passed away peacefully on June 3, 2025, at the age of 69.

Known to all who loved her as Sandy, she was born on April 7, 1956, in Elizabeth, New Jersey. She was a devoted wife and a loyal friend; someone whose kindness and gentle spirit left a lasting impression on many who knew her.

A lover of life's simple pleasures, Sandy enjoyed movie nights with her husband, dinners out, and quiet moments shared with her beloved animals.

She had a unique gift for choosing the perfect card or present for every occasion—celebrating birthdays and holidays with heartfelt care and offering comfort during difficult times. The Christmas season held a special place in her heart, bringing her deep joy as she celebrated with family and friends.

She also found joy in writing poetry, expressing her thoughts and emotions through the written word. A lifelong animal lover, she considered her pets true members of the family. Her home was filled with wagging tails, soft purrs, and unconditional love.

Professionally, Sandy worked as an X-ray Technician and Medical Assistant.

Sandy is lovingly remembered by her husband and soulmate of 46 years, Robert McCormick; her sister and brother-in-law, Carla and Jim Bover; her brother and his wife, Karl J. and Joy Woelz; her brother William Woelz; her brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Steve and Carol McCormick; her nieces and nephew, Michelle Manderski, Kristen Hubler, and A. Michael Bover; as well as other relatives and close friends.

She is reunited in peace with her parents, Karl G. Woelz and Dolores T. Woelz, and her nephew, Raymond Bover.

Sandy will be remembered for her extraordinary kindness, gentle personality, thoughtful gestures, and the love she gave so freely. Her memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew her well.
