MILLBURY - Robert D. “Bob” MacIntosh, 72, passed away peacefully in the comfort of his home, surrounded by his loving family, on Wednesday, June 3, 2026, after a courageous battle with Parkinson’s disease.

Born in Worcester and raised in Shrewsbury, Bob was the beloved son of the late Barbara and Peter DeMauro. He attended Shrewsbury High School and, following graduation, took time to fulfill his adventurous spirit by backpacking throughout Europe. Upon returning home, he earned professional certifications and began a successful career with EMC (now Dell Technologies), where he served as a Principal Director in Product Development.

Through mutual friends, Bob met the love of his life, Kathleen Markley. Their relationship blossomed, and on July 10, 1982, they were married. Together they made their home in Millbury, where they lovingly raised their family and built a life filled with cherished memories.

Bob is survived by his devoted wife of nearly 44 years, Kathleen Macintosh of Millbury; his daughter, Melissa A. Hobbs and her husband, Jay, of Shrewsbury; his brother, Thomas Macintosh of North Brookfield; and his sister, Lori J. Grenier and her husband, Stephen, of Worcester. Above all, Bob treasured his role as a grandfather and leaves behind his adored grandchild, Landyn Hobbs of Shrewsbury, who brought him immeasurable joy.

A talented freelance photographer, Bob found beauty in the world around him and enjoyed capturing nature through his camera lens. He especially loved photographing concerts, often using his press pass to document memorable performances. Bob also enjoyed traveling and created lasting memories on trips to Cape Cod, Ireland, Jamaica, and Turks and Caicos.

Quiet, kind, and unassuming, Bob was a beloved husband, father, brother, and grandfather whose gentle nature, steadfast love, and unwavering dedication to his family will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a period of calling hours on Monday, June 15, 2026, from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Kelly Cremation and Funeral Care, 154 Lincoln Street, Worcester. Interment will be held privately.
