Robert Harrison Brainard

January 23, 1941 — September 8, 2025

Brookfield, MA – Robert H. Brainard 84 of Brookfield, MA, passed away peacefully on September 8, 2025 at the Christopher House of Worcester following several years with Dementia.

Robert is survived by his current wife Donna M. Brainard (Busha) his daughter Kristen, two stepdaughters: Melissa and Tonya and one stepson: Shawn. Six grandchildren: Cherie, Javery, Caleb, Morgan, Gracie and Madison. Three great grandchildren: Jasmine, Colton and Easton. He is survived by three sisters: Kathleen, Gwendolyn and Rhonda and two brothers: Gile and Timothy. He Is predeceased also by sisters: Barbara and Carol.

Robert worked for Sears for many years becoming one of their top appliance Salespersons. He was a great fan of baseball and football cheering on the Boston Braves/Boston Red Sox and New England Patriots throughout most of his life.

Robert leaves behind many nieces and nephews: Kathy Lisa, John Regan, Kelly Peasley and Kent Madden, Julie, Kim Williams and Tracy Williams Donahue, Shannon, Melissa and great nieces and nephews: Thomas, Kaitlin, Audrey, Benjamin, Kyle and little Scottie: Olivia, Chistopher and Connor, Stephanie, Lincoln and Lydia, Kevin, Casie, Thomas, Lilly and Scarlett, Bradley, Logan and Ariana and Caleb, Albert, Samuel and Virginia and Dominic, Elliya and Emerald.

Robert, aka “Bob or Bobbie” to friends and family, was born in Lawrence, MA to Samuel and Lillian “Edith Heath” Brainard and grew up in Methuen, MA. Robert eventually moved to Millbury with his then wife Suzanne Brainard, who predeceased him in 2005.

Robert was a wonderful, loving father to his daughter, Kristen. Praising her accomplishments to anyone who would listen. He was her greatest fan and always expressed great pride in her as she excelled in her chosen career of horseback riding and love of horses.

Shortly after moving to Brookfield Robert became a member of the Ware Congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses in 2010 and remained such until his passing.

Prior to moving to Brookfield and becoming one of Jehovah’s Witnesses, Robert took an active interest in his town’s local government and community affairs as an active member of the Democratic party for many years.

Robert will be greatly missed by family and all who knew and loved him.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Foundation of America or the Dementia Society of America which are non-profit organizations or to a charity of your choice.
