DEXTER - Randall Scott Stahl, age 60, passed away unexpectedly at his home in Dexter, Massachusetts, on February 10, 2025.

Randy was born and raised in East Troy, Wisconsin. His love of trains began early and led him to volunteer as a teenager at the East Troy Electric Railroad. That passion guided his journey from East Troy to FonduLac, Maine, and eventually to Massachusetts as he pursued his dreams. He went on to build a career as a locomotive electrician and shop manager, working for Wisconsin Central, Canadian National Railroad, Grafton and Upton, and others. His work took him to many places, including Eastern Europe.

Randy loved his cats—Danny, Dirty Pete, and Big Mike, who passed not long before him. He also enjoyed history, music, and crafting beautiful N-scale model trains and model airplanes.

He is survived by his daughter, Anna Stahl; his sons, Joseph Stahl and Troy Stahl; and his granddaughter, Melanie Bahr. He is also survived by his brothers, James Stahl and Raymond (Lettitia) Stahl; his sisters, Michele (Matt) Durst and Angela Stahl; his caring friend, Aimee Estabrooks; and many other family members and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Norman and Jacqueline Stahl; two angel brothers; and his beloved cat, Big Mike.

A Celebration of Life will be held later this summer in Wisconsin and will be announced at a later date.
