Omar Eloi Acevedo

September 2, 1982 — December 9, 2025

MILLBURY - Omar Acevedo, 43, passed away on December 9, 2025, in Worcester, Massachusetts, surrounded by the love of his family after a courageous and unwavering battle with cancer. Born on September 2, 1982, in Hoboken, New Jersey, Omar lived a life defined by strength, devotion, and an unshakable spirit that touched all who knew him.

Omar proudly served in the United States Navy from 2000 to 2008 aboard the Dwight D. Eisenhower aircraft carrier. His years of service reflected his deep sense of duty and commitment to protecting others.

Omar’s dedication extended far beyond his service; it was most evident in the way he loved and cared for his family. Above all, Omar shared an unbreakable bond with his wife Jade Acevedo. She was his partner, his greatest support, and the love of his life. He loved her fiercely and selflessly, standing by her side through every challenge with devotion, loyalty, and care.

As a father to Quinn and Dominic Acevedo and stepfather to Chloe Cogswell, Omar embraced parenthood with pride and joy. His children were the center of his world. He taught them not only how to be strong but also how to be kind-hearted and full of laughter. His presence filled their home with light and love, a legacy that will live on in their hearts forever.

Omar’s passion for bodybuilding was more than just a hobby; it reflected his mindset: disciplined, focused, and powerful. Known affectionately by his family as “The Hulk,” he embodied strength not just physically but emotionally and spiritually as well. Whether lifting weights or lifting spirits, Omar brought energy and determination into everything he did.

He is lovingly remembered by his wife Jade; daughter Quinn; son Dominic; stepdaughter Chloe; mother Natividad De La Cruz; brothers Luis Acevedo and Walter Cruz; and all those whose lives were brightened by his humor, courage, and compassion. Omar was predeceased by his daughter Lily who was born in heaven.

Omar will always be remembered as an amazing husband and father—a fighter in every sense of the word—and a true hero whose laughter could fill a room even during the darkest times. His strength never wavered; even when facing immense challenges, he remained focused on lifting others up.

He will be deeply missed and forever loved by all who had the honor of knowing him. May his memory continue to inspire strength, love, and resilience in those he leaves behind.
