Michelle Caricchio

January 23, 1963 — June 26, 2025

Worcester

Michelle Caricchio, 62, of Worcester died peacefully June 26, 2025 surrounded by friends and family after a brief illness. Michelle was the daughter of the late Marie Reed Kawiaka and Ernest Caricchio. She leaves behind a daughter, Charity Caricchio of South Jordan, Utah and Johnathan Caricchio of Killeen, Texas. She was predeceased by a brother, John E. Reed, and a sister, Melissa A. Lewis.

Michelle had a passion for music and the arts, and you could always find her singing, creating art on her computer, or lost in the pages of a good book. Her deep love for literature was even something she made sure she instilled in her children. If you didn't find her immersed in a story, she was singing. You could find her singing along to a record, at church, or one of her favorite past times, karaoke. Not one who was usually comfortable in the spotlight, singing was an exception. She always felt a deeper connection with others through sharing music and her voice.

Michelle was as whimsical as she was fierce, known to occasionally channel her inner Judge Judy when necessary. She had a fondness for simple yet beautiful things, like the scent of lilacs in the spring, the color purple and of course, her precious moments figurines. She famously never met a potato she didn't like, but woe betide the person who dared to add anything but margarine. And if you had ever been invited for dinner, you just may have been fortunate enough to have experienced her homemade mac and cheese.

Michelle had a strong faith which she shared with all who she encountered. She sought solace and meaning in the words of the Lord. Her daily scripture passages on her Facebook page brought comfort and joy to her family and friends. She cared deeply for everyone in her life, a sentiment best expressed by her longtime friend Mel, whom shared how much she valued their friendship and that Michelle "was the kindest to her when the rest of the world was not." Michelle extended this same philosophy to everyone she met, greeting others without bias or judgement in her heart. Kind to both humans and animals, she especially loved her "boys", her two grey fluffball cats, Shadow and Reeses.

Michelle is now in God's loving embrace and is finally reunited with beloved family members that have gone before her.

A graveside service will be held at the Holy Family Shrine at St. John’s Cemetery on Monday, August 11th at 11:00 am.
