Leon A Hippert

Leon Allen Hippert from Worcester, MA, passed away peacefully on Saturday, June 27th, 2026. Leon was born in Worcester, MA on June 15th, 1961. Leon graduated from Doherty Memorial High School.

Leon is survived by his older brother Terry (Jane), Hippert from Leesburg, FL; his twin sister, Lynne Hippert from Worcester, MA, and his longtime partner Cathern L. Jones-Nash of Rutland. Leon is also survived by his children; daughter Allison, son Andrew, daughter April, and son Brad. He is also survived by lots of nieces, nephews, great-nieces and cousins.

Leon was preceded in death by his father, Roy K. Hippert and his mother, Ann E. Hippert (Flynn). He was also preceded in death by four of his brothers, Roy Sr., Jerry, Mikey and Joey.

Leon worked as a truck driver; he also worked at Holy Cross as a chef for many years. He was a client at Crozier House and then went on to work at Crozier House as a chef. Leon was very proud of all his accomplishments as well as his dedication to his work ethics.

Leon was on the Board of Directors for Sober in the Sun for many years. He was dedicated and proud to not only work on his sobriety every single day, but he made it part of his life's purpose to help others who had dealt with the same issues he had. He has been a speaker at many meetings and was always willing to share his story with others along his journey.

Leon’s celebration of life will be held on June 13th, 2026 starting with calling hours from 9:45a.m.- 10:45a.m. at Kelly Funeral Parlor, 154 Lincoln Street, Worcester, MA 01605 (508) 755-4507. Calling hours will be followed by a Mass at 11 a.m. at St, Johns Church, 44 Temple Street, Worcester, MA 01604 (508) 756-7165, and burial at St. John’s Cemetery, 260 Cambridge Street, Worcester, MA 01603 (508) 757-7415.
