March 27, 1971 – May 24, 2025
Dr. Lauren E. Hamm, 54, of Shrewsbury, Massachusetts, passed away peacefully at home on May 24, 2025, surrounded by her loving family.
Born on March 27, 1971, in Boston, Massachusetts, Lauren pursued a life of care, compassion, and purpose. She graduated from Hudson Catholic High School in Hudson, Massachusetts, before earning her bachelor’s degree from Assumption University and her Doctorate in Chiropractic from Palmer College. In 1997, she founded Shrewsbury Family Chiropractic, where she became a respected and beloved practitioner, dedicating her work to family and pediatric care. Her impact on the health and well-being of countless families in the community will be remembered for years to come.
Lauren’s greatest joy came from her family. She is survived by her devoted husband, Dr. Brian Maher; her two sons, Ian and Alec Maher; her parents, Stephen and Sandra Hamm of Florida; her brother, Adam Hamm of Maine; and her two loving dogs, Finn and Reya.
Outside of her professional life, Lauren was passionate about dog sports, particularly agility and nose work. She was a talented photographer who loved capturing life’s simple and beautiful moments, and she was an avid reader who could always be found with a good book in hand.
A Celebration of Life will be held on June 20, 2025, from 4 to 7 PM at Cyprian Keyes, where family and friends are invited to honor and remember Lauren.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Lauren’s name to Lucky Star Cavalier Rescue, an organization close to her heart.
Lauren’s life was defined by her kindness, intelligence, and dedication—to her patients, her family, and her passions. She will be deeply missed and forever cherished.
