With the wind in her hair, Laura Kuras got on the back of the bike, hit the road, and got out of here on August 19th, 2026.
Born at Dover AFB in Delaware on January 15th, 1964. Laura was the kind of person you loved or hated, no in-between. She was generous, kind, strong-willed, stubborn, and always worked hard to make her way through. She passed those traits onto her daughter, Elizabeth, who was her whole world, and her role as a Mama was her greatest joy. That was until she met her only Granddaughter, Maple, and as Grammy she would go on to share all that love and more with Mapes; silly dancing together, learning colors, and sharing the timeless bond that will be how she is best remembered.
Laura loved to sit on a sunny beach and listen to the ocean waves. She loved to feel the wind in her hair on the back of a Harley. She was always down for a drink and a good time.
Besides Elizabeth and Maple, Laura is survived by her sisters, Stephanie, Donna, and Lisa, and many family and friends. She was predeceased by her parents, Stephen and Donna Argraves.
After 13 years of battling cancer Laura, 62, found strength in her family and was able to die peacefully at home in calmness and with the sun shining through the window. There will be no formal services as per Laura's wishes.
