Henri "Hank" Lamoureux

WORCESTER – Henri J. “Hank” Lamoureux, 74, passed away on September 18, 2026 surrounded by his family. He is the loving husband of Melanie A. (Strub) Lamoureux with whom he just celebrated 53 years of marriage.

Born and raised in Worcester, Hank was the son of the late Aime and Florence (L’Heureux) Lamoureux. He attended highschool at Boys Trade in Worcester, where he studied machinery, and went on to work in various careers, including truck driving, warehouse yard operations management, and medical equipment delivery and setup. After retirement he took on his favorite role of before & after school care of his grandsons. He was a history enthusiast and could watch a documentary or movie repeatedly. He was always quick with a trivia "fact" that wasn't always exactly right. A true jack of all trades (master of none), Hank enjoyed tinkering around his home and crafting things out of wood, including birdhouses and an assortment of sea life plaques and weathervanes that he proudly displayed around his yard. A perfectionist by nature, Hank had a unique philosophy when it came to his projects: he wanted everything done just right but was also content with “good enough.”

Hank enjoyed the simple pleasures in life, including a good bourbon, sitting by his lake, traveling with his wife, and most of all, the company of his beloved grandchildren. He loved to tell a story, could unintentionally command a room, and never needed much to be happy. Hank will be truly missed by friends and family alike.

Along with his wife Melanie, Hank leaves behind his children, Aimee Saunders and her husband Tim of Conway, SC, Nicole Lamoureux of North Charleston, SC, and Peter Lamoureux and his wife Danielle Pacheco of Worcester; his grandchildren, Colin, Aidan, Erin, Yandel, and Jeramiah; his siblings Julie Kruczynski, Jeannine DeLaura, Raymond Lamoureux, Suzanne O’Brien, Frances Okulicz, and Marc Lamoureux; siblings in law, Lyssa Peters, Tim Strub, Dave Strub, Kate Richards, and Elaine Shank; and many nieces and nephews.

Family and friends are invited to attend calling hours on Thursday, September 24th from 4:00pm – 7:00pm at MILES FUNERAL HOME, 1158 Main Street in Holden. A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated the following day, Friday, September 25th at 9:00am at St. John’s Church, 44 Temple Street in Worcester. Interment will be private.

In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to The American Cancer Society.
