Northborough- Gerritt J DeBoer III (Buster) passed away on December 14, 2025 at Umass University. Born August 31, 1959 in Marlborough, MA.

Gerritt worked 38 years between Westborough State Hospital and Tewksbury State hospital as a maintenance worker. He was friend to hundreds of people over his lifetime. He helped as many as he could daily. He worked on peoples cars, chimneys, decks, and helped clean up after tornados, and much more. He enjoyed camping, playing cards, car shows, gathering around the fire pit, fishing, and working on vehicles. At camp everyone wanted him around, even when he went on full wild man. He was a man who stood by his family, through the good times and bad times and never turned his back. He gave from his heart to everyone and had stories about everything and every experience he had. He could also provoke laughter out of thin air and no one walked away without a smile.

Survived by his loving wife Deborah DeBoer of 46 years, also 2 children Jennifer Moniz, Gerritt DeBoer IV, also 4 grandchildren Dawson Moniz and his partner Annie Snell, Connor Moniz, Hunter Moniz, and Sophia Moniz,and nieces and nephews, and his predeceased father Gerritt DeBoer Jr. and mother Theresa DeBoer, and sister Maryann Dicarlo.

There will be a celebration of life at a later date for family and friends.
