It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Gary Carlson, a man of peace and fire.
Gary was born in Worcester, Massachusetts on January 19, 1962, and transitioned out of this life in Webster on July 17, 2026. Through his journey of 64 years, he touched many lives with his quick-witted humor, decadent cooking and an unwavering spirit of perseverance.
Gary had a passion for cooking and music. He was a drummer for many years and picked up acoustic and electric guitar later in life. He loved cooking for others and playing guitar in the background at gatherings, weaving his passions into the atmosphere.
Gary’s legacy of humor and perseverance will be carried forward by those who had the privilege of knowing him. His life will forever be an inspiration, a testament to the power of an indomitable and untamed spirit infused with curiosity and resilience.
He will be greatly missed and forever remembered.
Gary was preceded in death by his father, Robert Carlson, his mother, Florence Carlson and his brother, Alan Carlson.
He is survived by his children, Nicole Merrill (Carlson) and Craig Carlson, as well as his grandchildren: Bentley Carlson, CJ Carlson, Richard Carlson and Easton Carlson, who he absolutely cherished.
In accordance with his wishes, no formal services will be held. A gathering as a Celebration of Life to honor his memory will be held on October 3rd, 2026 at 11:00am at 6 Bowles Street, West Boylston, Massachusetts.
