Duane Alan Lunday Jr. (Chuck) was the second child born to parents Duane and Margaret in Garland, Texas on June 8, 1959.
Fascinated by electronics and hardware at an early age, Chuck had a ham radio license at age 14 and was adept at troubleshooting problems on printed circuit boards by the time he was 19. He received his Electronics Technician diploma from Devry Technical Institute in 1978 and spent the next 11 years working in the long distance phone company industry. He then fell in love with computer programming and never looked back until he retired from Multiview in 2016.
A loving son, brother and father, he is survived by his father, Duane Alan Lunday Sr., his sister, René McCarty, former wife, Lorena Westhoff, two daughters, Margaret Caine, son-in-law Alex Caine, and Kathleen Lunday, son-in-law Dustin Peters, 8 grandsons, Noah, Patrick, Jackson, Luke, Matthew, Augustine, Leo, Nicholas, and 1 granddaughter Carolina. He is preceded in death by brother, Kenneth Lunday, and mother, Margaret Lunday. Memorial will be Saturday, January 31st from 11-2pm at the Knights of Columbus Hall, 2705 Sunset Strip, Greenville, Texas 75402.
Funeral arrangements are under the care of Kelly Cremation & Funeral Care, 154 Lincoln St., Worcester.
