WORCESTER - Cynthia Marie Hackett, 65, of Worcester, passed away peacefully on February 12, 2026. after a battle with cancer. Cindy is the loving daughter of Charles and Claire (Bedard) Hackett Jr.

In addition to her parents, Cynthia leaves behind her siblings, Theresa Marczewski of Spencer, Linda Reidy and her husband Dennis of Spencer, Charles Hackett III and his wife Laurie of Holden, and Deborah Hackett of Putnam, CT, and her favorite Uncle (Bob) Robert Hackett of Auburn, aunts, uncles, cousins and three generations of beloved nieces, nephews, and many cherished friends. Cindy is preceded in death by her brother David.

Cindy attended Sacred Heart School and Burncoat Senior High School. Cindy was employed by New Main Street Insurance for many years, ending her career at Braley and Wellington.

Cindy enjoyed going to the Casino, Concerts and spending long days at the beach with her close friend Donna. Cindy also loved her travels to Aruba and Las Vegas where she created additional memories with her mom.

Cindy spent her entire life taking care of others. Family and friends always knew Cindy’s home was a safe haven, a place for conversation and lots of laughter.

Cindy loved a good party, family gatherings and just being surrounded by others. Cindy’s ability to out do herself with the food she would supply, ensured no one went hungry and containers were full upon leaving.

Family and friends are kindly invited to attend a graveside service on Friday, February 27th at 11:00 AM in Notre Dame Cemetery, Worcester.

In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Cynthia may be made to Rose Monahan Hospice House. Worcester, MA. or St. John’s Food for the Poor Program, Temple St., Worcester, MA.
