Christopher M. O'Neill

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the unexpected passing of Christopher Matthew O’Neill on October 26, 2026, whose life ended far too soon.

Born on March 3, 1989, in Newton, MA, Christopher leaves behind his mother, Amy Samara, and stepfather, Rob Samara; his two sisters, Ashley and Megan Samara; his longtime girlfriend, Caitlyn Hallowell; and many other family members, including grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Chris was raised in Grafton, MA, where he graduated from Grafton High School in 2007. He then went on to attend Westfield State University and The University of Maine. Chris made Maine his home for the last eight years.

Throughout his childhood, Chris was passionate about playing baseball and hockey. He had a heart full of love, a mind full of dreams, and a determination that never faded.

We mourn not only the life we lost but also the future he deserved and the dreams he still had left to chase. Though his time with us was shorter than anyone could have imagined, he leaves behind a lifetime of memories and moments that will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew him.

A private service for the family will take place at a later date.
