Charles J Hoglund

Charles J. Hoglund (C.J.) passed away on Jan 9, 2026, after a long fight with Asthma and COPD.

He leaves behind his wife of 47 years Beth E. Hoglund (Palmer), daughter Amy S. Hoglund and her husband Michael Wisniewski of Holden, son Toby Hoglund and Megan Mowins of Leominster, sisters Susan Boynton of Clinton, Deborah Strate of Sterling, and brother Peter R, Hoglund and his wife Karen of New London, NH., one grandchild, and many nieces and nephews.

He was born in Milford, MA to the parents of Barbara A. (Rawson) and Harold H. Hoglund. He lived in Hopedale, MA until his junior year in high school when he moved to Sterling, MA where he graduated from Wachusett Regional. While in Hopedale he earned the rank of Eagle Scout. He attended Wentworth Institute and East Coast Aero Tech. 

He served in U.S. Navy for 4 years, and spent many years as an on call firefighter, EMT, and scuba diver for the Sterling Fire Dept. He also spent many years volunteering at the Sterling Fair. His main occupation was working in the automation industry, manufacturing, building, and designing automation equipment. In his spare time, he enjoyed working on his home and yard, Maine, reading, puzzles, and family.

There will be no calling hours or funeral services. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to your favorite organization.
