LEOMINSTER — Cathy A. (Boothman) Poulson of Leominster passed away peacefully on Monday,
March 23, 2026, at her home, with her daughters by her side, after a long and courageous battle
with ovarian cancer.
Born on August 6, 1954, in Leominster, she was the daughter of Cornelius Boothman Jr. and Mae
(Fischer) Boothman. Cathy graduated from Leominster High School in 1972 and worked as a
Probation Operations Supervisor for the Leominster District Court for 40 years before retiring.
Family was the center of Cathy’s world. She was a devoted mother to her two daughters, Heather
(Almy) Jordan and her husband, Neil Jordan, and Linsey Poulson and her husband, Skip Palmbach.
Nothing brought her more happiness than being “Meme” to her beloved grandchildren, Remy Jordan
and Penny Palmbach. She also leaves her two sisters, Karen (Boothman) Caskins and Faith
Boothman; her sister-in-law, Andrea (Poulson) Miller; and nieces and nephews.
She faced the loss of her husband, Conrad Poulson; her sister, Susan Holler; and her grandson,
Trent Jordan.
Cathy was a longtime member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles, Leominster Aerie 477, where she
volunteered and enjoyed many trips with her friend Ann. She loved visiting Washington, D.C. with
her lifelong friend Joan, as well as going “up the lake” with her. Cathy was always happy to go out for
breakfast or lunch with family and friends. She enjoyed camping, playing darts, ice fishing, and
hosting holidays. Her interests included antiques, knitting, reading biographies, and listening to
Frankie Valli. She also cherished her childhood memories in Camp Fire Girls, alongside her mother
and sisters.
She will be deeply missed, but her unwavering compassion, strength and fun-loving spirit will live on
in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
